Emerge & Re-emerge

Holly

I have known Holly Wilmeth for years – in my previous life as a photographer, I always considered Holly one of the Greats. Based in San Miguel de Allende, she reached the point in her career where she was ready to leave the wedding industry and delve into photography as an artist. That’s when she joined my coaching program and began to work towards her goal of a book deal – a series of photos created from her deeply intuitive and spiritual connection to nature. She was growing in other areas of her life as well, building properties with her husband and being a mom to a little boy.

Then the pandemic hit. Forced to move back to the US for health reasons, Holly and her family lost everything they’d built in one fell swoop. It was a blow. After they’d adjusted to their new situation for a while, Holly re-enrolled in my coaching program – this time with a new goal.
Along with the book deal, she re-imagined her photography series as an Oracle Deck and launched a Kickstarter campaign, which met with a success that surpassed her wildest dreams…

One-on-one with Holly

Why did you decide to join the CF Coaching program? What was going on in your life at the time?

When I joined CF’s Coaching program I was at a crossroad in my life. I had hit rock bottom for the first time ever. I knew I wanted to change the way I was experiencing my life and the timing was perfect. I had it all, a gorgeous dreamy life, and yet the inside of me wasn’t matching up with the outside.

I didn’t really know what Catherine was teaching, BUT… I knew her as a colleague and friend, and wanted to see what was riling up her juices. I wanted to catch the same boat. At the time in my life I signed up for the program, I had come face to face with all my limiting beliefs around motherhood and being an artist. How could I be both? Suddenly I felt I was at a crossroad, having to make a choice. Physically my hands stopped working, so much so that for almost two years I was in daily agony and couldn’t touch anything from the pain. My inner self was crying out in my physical body.

I realized all of this through my first CF coaching program. I didn’t need to choose, I just needed to become aware and start deciding how I wanted to live my life with everything I was bringing to the table. And so… I slowly started to heal, and started to align myself as a mother and an artist. It was during this time that I also set a goal-dream of working on a big project about nature. 3 years later the project has travelled the world…

What was your biggest takeaway?

The power of intention and how I want to ‘feel’ living in my life. Also, giving a sacred pause to sit and understand what is coming up for me and having the tools to understand where it’s coming from and using them to re-direct the course-journey of my life.

This program is the bridge, or the connection between understanding my spirituality and the science behind the human condition. I love it. I have left the program feeling like I have a diverse tool bag that I can use to feel connected and aligned to the vision of my life and dreams. I also know that if I ever find myself in a situation that is ‘challenging’ I can help myself through the learning steps of this program.

What happened that you weren’t expecting or couldn’t have foreseen?

I set a pretty high goal for myself the first round of CF coaching I did. I was 3 years later in my second round that the magnitude of actually succeeding in realizing my goal happened. I had wanted to share my art and love of nature with the world, I didn’t know how, and today I do. I’ve signed a contract with a publishing house and my project is going to be distributed worldwide.

The best part is that I have a home for my work and this home is in alignment with how I see and want to manifest in the world. We speak the same language.

Was there anything about Catherine’s unique qualities as a coach that specifically helped you?

Catherine is perfect at getting right to the point with what is coming up in your life. She has the experience and wisdom of quickly tuning in to what is truly going on and bringing awareness to that.

It’s really uncanny… I’m not sure always how she does it, but the best part is she does it with kindness, directness, and then a splash of humor. This is her superpower. This has always been super helpful for me with Catherine. She knows how to ask the hard questions, see one, and get right to the heart of the matter within seconds and then guide one to having more understanding and awareness of one’s own situation.

Living the Work:

“How do I want to feel living my life? When I set goals, intentions, it’s with this question. I imagine myself already living the goal and want to feel myself feeling it. I understand the power of this intention more than ever before. I am also kinder to myself when there are changes happening as I know it’s because I am growing and shedding a part of me that is not serving me anymore.”
